We collaborated with an environmental consultancy to support our client in the review and refinement of the upstream Environmental Authority conditions for their Coal Seam Gas to Liquified Natural Gas Project in Queensland. These refinements are anticipated to save the client >$2.3M per annum in operating costs with the potential for an additional $4M per annum in savings in the future if additional recommended changes are accepted by the regulator.

We conducted a multi-phased baseline review to camp closure and workforce transition plan for two workforce accommodation camps in Queensland's Surat Basin. We worked closely with community stakeholders and local government to develop a strategy to transition workers from company camps to a mixture of accommodation options in neighbouring communities in a staged approach to minimise negative impacts and manage expectations and opportunities.

We collaborated with an environmental consultancy to review and process over 300 submissions to the Senate Select Committee on Unconventional Gas Mining (Australia). We examined several criteria of submissions including type of submitter, location, stance, tone, focus, theme, and issues to establish trends and common themes. The data provided insights into landowner concerns and anti-industry sentiment and strategies.

We conducted a compliance audit of an operating mine's Community and Social Responsibility Department against the company's Community Relations Management Standard. We also reviewed the effectiveness of the Department and explored areas for refinement and improvement.

We conducted a social impact assessment of the likely stakeholder and community responses to a change to well design in the Surat Basin to enhance the efficiency of gas extraction. The assessment examined noise and visual changes, community perceptions, and engagement strategies based on interest and levels of publicity.

We conducted a liveability study of a Queensland regional council. We examined key variables ranging from international liveability metrics to publicly available data sets focussing on five broad categories: Economy, Healthcare, Culture, Education, and Infrastructure.
